The Guns of Ireland world premiere is over. Le sigh. Le weep. Le rending of garments.
Le tasteful trailer.
But! The DVD is on it’s way out right now, and there is rumbling on the production team about a little trip to New York to meet with some folks that will help us take the next step. Does that mean that you’ll be able to see Guns in a theatre near you pretty soon? Or maybe in a lavish WPA venue on the broadest of ways? Who can say?
(I can)
(Because early reviews were pretty dang good)
(So stay tuned)
But! For the next li’l bit, that’s over, hence the title of the post.
Okay, so yeah, and it was just kind of an excuse to use some Foo Fighters lyrics.
BUT HEY: One thing ends and another begins.
So last year I released a book called Something Greater than Artifice. It was a sci fi/fantasy book about the intersection of art and technology. It also featured much asskicking. And cellos. And giant, tesseract-y libraries.
And hey, it got some really great reviews. So you should go buy a copy riiiiiight…NOW. By clicking here. Three bucks. Seriously. That’s it.
SO NOW: The sequel to SGtA is almost ready to release. The story continues. The Tech Republic is still in peril, and only one man can heed the call: Moses Driver. He of few words and the bigass hammer. Yeah.
AND WHAT’S MORE: RealtimeConf was a thing. An amazing thing. For the uninitiated, RTC was where the world got to know the world of SGtA. It’s also where the world got to see a stageplay of the book, featuring the immensely talented Alana Henderson, she of Hozier and recipient of two (two!) shiny shiny Billboard music awards. She who wrote a song about the dang book.
A song you can get right here:
Yeah, RTC is cool. But up until now, RTC was also dead. As in no more ever again. It’s been two years since the folks at &yet melted the faces clean off the attendees in Portland, and word on the street had it that there would never be another.
Until now, accourse.
RealtimeConf is back, and coincidentally just in time for not one but two new entries to the Something Greater than Artifice universe. SGtA II is one.
The other? Time will tell.
